About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mental Health Administrator to join our team at Schoen Clinic Newbridge in Birmingham. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of internal processes and statutory procedures required for patient registration, admission, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the registration, admission, and treatment of patients detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA) 1983, ensuring compliance with regulations and statutory procedures.
  • Liaise with clinicians, allied professionals, patients, and their families to provide information and documentation required for detention, registration, and admission.
  • Coordinate the completion and processing of section papers and associated documentation, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Arrange hearings for Mental Health Tribunals and Hospital Managers Reviews, notifying all parties and obtaining reports as required.
  • Organize meetings and ensure the effective production, collation, and distribution of reports, minutes, and other relevant documentation.
  • Process referrals received via NHS portal or private, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize and schedule work independently.
