Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary:
Appoint Healthcare is proud to partner with a leading national provider of health and social care services for young people and adults with mental health needs. We are seeking a Social Worker for their specialist CAMHS & Eating Disorder hospital based in Birmingham, West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure high-quality care for 8 - 18-year-olds within the award-winning CAMHS / Eating Disorder service
• Provide confident and experienced social work input to the team
• Deliver expert advice and guidance on all safeguarding issues
Requirements:
• Degree in social work or equivalent
• Current social work England registration
• Level 3 safeguarding training for adults and children
• Strong understanding of confidentiality and appropriate information sharing
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good communication skills including verbal, written, negotiation and role modelling
• Experience of multi-disciplinary working with adults with mental health conditions
• Practice experience of applying assessment skills within a statutory social work setting
• Knowledge of safeguarding for adults with care and support needs and children at risk
• Knowledge of methods of social work intervention
