Job Title: Mental Health and Referrals Administrator

At Schoen Clinic, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mental Health and Referrals Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our administration team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the registration, admission, and treatment of patients detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA) 1983.
  • Provide administrative support to the referrals and admissions team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of referrals.
  • Liaise with clinicians, allied professionals, patients, and their families to provide information and documentation required for detention, registration, and admission.
  • Coordinate the completion and processing of section papers and associated documentation, ensuring compliance with MHA and code of practice.
  • Arrange hearings for Mental Health Tribunals and Hospital Managers Reviews, ensuring timely notification and processing of documentation.
  • Organize meetings and ensure the effective production, collation, and distribution of reports, minutes, and other relevant documentation.
  • Process referrals received via NHS portal or private, ensuring timely review by the referrals team.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize and schedule work independently.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical.
  • Maintains a professional conduct at all times.
