Position Overview

Are you a Pharmacist seeking a rewarding opportunity in a dynamic healthcare environment?

We are in search of enthusiastic and innovative Pharmacists to become part of our collaborative and welcoming pharmacy team, working across multiple key healthcare facilities.

Successful applicants will deliver exceptional clinical pharmacy services as integral members of our ward-based teams.

This position is an excellent opportunity for Band 7 professionals looking for a fulfilling lifestyle, for current Band 6 Pharmacists aiming for advancement to Band 7 (with RPS portfolio), or for newly qualified Pharmacists (trained in acute or community settings) seeking their initial acute role.

You will benefit from a comprehensive 4-week structured onboarding process. Community applicants will receive a 4-month supported induction (refer to the attached matrix).

We provide funding for Diploma & Non-Medical Prescribing courses, along with opportunities to enhance your expertise and skills.

Main Responsibilities

Join our team at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust - we look forward to welcoming you. Site visits or virtual meetings can be arranged upon request.

We are a successful, innovative, and forward-thinking department, prioritizing patient care in our decision-making processes. Our Trust places a high emphasis on medicines management and optimization. We have invested in a state-of-the-art aseptic unit. The pharmacy department has successfully outsourced outpatient dispensing, implemented electronic medicines management for all inpatient wards, and rolled out electronic prescribing in our haematology and oncology services. Our department has also collaborated with external stakeholders to develop community infusion clinics and pioneered the introduction of unique electronic locking systems for medicine storage, significantly enhancing nursing efficiency and improving medication security. Our upcoming major objectives include implementing electronic prescribing across all inpatient and outpatient areas.

Please note: this clinical pharmacist position is suitable for newly qualified pharmacists, registered applicants, or those seeking experience in an acute trust environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • A vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy, along with pre-registration training resulting in registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or proven equivalent experience.

Occupational Experience

  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Professional Development.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
