About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our pharmacy ward-based team on a bank basis. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and other healthcare professionals across our acute hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of the Pharmacy service, including clinical and pharmaceutical audit and research.
  • Provide dynamic leadership to the team and demonstrate high-quality acute clinical pharmacy skills.
  • Work collaboratively with the Trust's directive of 7-day working and participate in rotas and/or shift working as necessary.
  • Support the Trustwide Nutrition team in providing advice on the prescribing and monitoring of parenteral nutrition.
  • Manage and supervise the duties of pharmacists, pre-registration pharmacists, and ward support technicians within the clinical team.
  • Support the medicines information services and train pharmacy staff to deliver these services.
Requirements
  • A vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy plus pre-registration training resulting in registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or proven level of equivalent experience.
  • Previous hospital Pharmacy experience as a Clinical Pharmacist (minimum of three years post qualification).
  • Previous experience of supervising/mentoring junior colleagues.
