Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our pharmacy ward-based team on a bank basis. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and other healthcare professionals across our acute hospital at Scunthorpe.

Main Duties

The post holder will be responsible for providing an advanced clinical pharmacist service within the surgery directorate, education, and training, and improving patient safety. You will also support the Trustwide Nutrition team in providing advice on the prescribing and monitoring of parenteral nutrition.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating the delivery of the Pharmacy service
  • Developing and implementing clinical/pharmaceutical audit and research
  • Providing expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and other members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Supporting the Trustwide Nutrition team in providing advice on parenteral nutrition
