Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our dynamic and supportive pharmacy ward-based team on the bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in leading and coordinating the delivery of the Pharmacy service, providing expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and other members of the multidisciplinary team across our acute hospital at Scunthorpe.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced clinical pharmacy services within the surgery directorate, education, and training, and improving patient safety.
  • Support the Trustwide Nutrition team in providing advice around the prescribing and monitoring of parenteral nutrition.
  • Manage and supervise the duties of pharmacists, pre-registration pharmacists, and ward support technicians within the clinical team.
  • Support the medicines information services and train pharmacy staff to deliver these services.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • A vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy plus pre-registration training resulting in registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist.
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or proven level of equivalent experience.
  • Desirable:
    • Accredited pre-registration pharmacy student tutor and/or accredited clinical pharmacy diploma tutor.
    • Independent Prescribing qualification.
    • MFRPSI.
