Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our pharmacy ward-based team on the bank. As a key member of our team, you will assist in leading and coordinating the delivery of the Pharmacy service and lead and develop relevant clinical/pharmaceutical audit and research.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be responsible for providing an advanced clinical pharmacist service within the surgery directorate, education, and training, and improving patient safety. You will also support the Trustwide Nutrition team in providing advice around the prescribing and monitoring of parenteral nutrition.

Working for Our Organisation

We are a large organisation with three hospitals located in Scunthorpe, Grimsby, and Goole. We also provide community services in North Lincolnshire. Our 6,500 members of staff care for and support a population of more than 400,000 people.

Person Specification

Education and Qualifications

  • A vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy plus pre-registration training resulting in registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or proven level of equivalent experience

Occupational Experience

  • Previous hospital Pharmacy experience as a Clinical Pharmacist (minimum of three years post qualification)
  • Previous experience of supervising/mentoring junior colleagues
