About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our pharmacy ward-based team on a bank basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and other members of the multidisciplinary team across our acute hospital at Scunthorpe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and co-ordinate the delivery of the Pharmacy service, including clinical / pharmaceutical audit and research.
  • Provide dynamic leadership to the team and demonstrate high quality acute clinical pharmacy skills.
  • Work flexibility to support the Trust's directive of 7 day working and participating in rotas and/or shift working as necessary, including weekend and bank holidays.
  • Support the Trustwide Nutrition team providing advice around the prescribing and monitoring of parenteral nutrition.
Requirements
  • A vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy plus pre-registration training resulting in registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or proven level of equivalent experience.
  • Previous hospital Pharmacy experience as a Clinical Pharmacist (minimum of three years post qualification).
  • Previous experience of supervising / mentoring junior colleagues.
