Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at the NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and other members of the multidisciplinary team across our acute hospital at Scunthorpe.

The post holder will lead and co-ordinate the delivery of the Pharmacy service, develop relevant clinical/pharmaceutical audit and research, and provide dynamic leadership to the team. They will also be responsible for supervising junior colleagues and contributing to the development of the pharmacy department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and other members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Lead and co-ordinate the delivery of the Pharmacy service
  • Develop relevant clinical/pharmaceutical audit and research
  • Supervise junior colleagues and contribute to the development of the pharmacy department

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or proven level of equivalent experience
  • Previous hospital Pharmacy experience as a Clinical Pharmacist (minimum of three years post qualification)
  • Previous experience of supervising/mentoring junior colleagues
