About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our pharmacy ward-based team on a bank basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in leading and coordinating the delivery of the Pharmacy service, providing expert pharmaceutical advice to patients and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced clinical pharmacy services within the surgery directorate, education, and training, and improving patient safety.
  • Support the Trustwide Nutrition team in providing advice around the prescribing and monitoring of parenteral nutrition.
  • Manage and supervise the duties of pharmacists, pre-registration pharmacists, and ward support technicians within the clinical team.
  • Support the medicines information services and train pharmacy staff to deliver these services.
Requirements
  • A vocational Master's degree in Pharmacy plus pre-registration training resulting in registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy qualification or proven level of equivalent experience.
  • Previous hospital Pharmacy experience as a Clinical Pharmacist (minimum of three years post qualification).
  • Previous experience of supervising/mentoring junior colleagues.
