Ashton Recruitment is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support our Public Sector client.

Position: Human Resources Coordinator

Location: Belfast

Duration: Temporary

Compensation: £14.44 per hour

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

The successful candidate will report to the Business Support Officer (HR/Administration) and will assist in the management of all administrative and human resource functions within the department, ensuring that the operational requirements are effectively met. This role includes overseeing the daily supervision, training, and development of designated staff members. Collaboration with the Business Support Officer(s) (HR/Administration) will be essential in the creation and execution of human resources and administrative frameworks aimed at facilitating departmental enhancements and process optimizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise daily activities of support personnel, assigning tasks, reviewing outputs, and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  2. Compile and evaluate service performance metrics and compliance data related to human resources, quality, and customer service standards for reporting purposes.
  3. Coordinate and oversee all procedures, record-keeping, and reporting activities pertaining to human resources.
  4. Provide pertinent information and guidance to the Business Support Officer (HR/Administration) and other departmental personnel on various human resources issues, including absence management, employee relations, payroll, attendance tracking, and training initiatives.
  5. Collaborate with the Business Support Officer (HR/Administration) to design training strategies and programs, as well as coordinate personal development planning for the HR Unit.
  6. Establish and maintain a system for up-to-date workforce statistics for the department.
  7. Manage recruitment processes, including the onboarding of agency personnel and induction procedures.

Essential Qualifications:

Applicants must demonstrate, through specific examples on the application form, at least one year of relevant human resources experience in the following areas:

  • Providing information, advice, and guidance to senior and operational managers regarding various HR policies and procedures, such as attendance management, recruitment, employee relations, and data requests;
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of human resources and administrative systems;
  • Directly supervising assigned staff.
