Job Overview

C&P Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects by overseeing on-site operations, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all work complies with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain site control, ensuring accurate setting out of roads, sewers, and structures.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure materials and workmanship meet quality standards, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily progress reports, material deliveries, and inspection logs.
  • Assist in managing project budgets by monitoring material usage, labor costs, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide technical advice and solutions to site personnel and subcontractors as needed, ensuring the project's technical requirements are met.
  • Attend in-house meetings to stay informed and contribute to project discussions.

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
  • CSCS card and SSSTS certification.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
  • Valid driving license.

Location: The successful candidate must be willing to relocate to the Inverness area or be living in the local vicinity.
