Opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor - Environment
Galliford Try is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in a dynamic environment. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage subcontract documentation, including negotiation of terms and conditions, prices, and programme.
- Oversee subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management.
- Produce and issue all commercial notices as required.
- Manage change in accordance with the form of contract.
- Produce and agree monthly applications.
- Collaborate with operational and engineering staff to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and maintain a detailed 'Cost to Complete'.
- Interpret expenditure reports to inform business decisions.
- Attend progress and early warning meetings to ensure project milestones are met.
- Apply principles of maximizing value and profit to drive business growth.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Civil Engineering Environment working for a main contractor.
- Professional Qualification or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Experience in commercial management and procurement.
- Exposure on large schemes.
- Strong IT skills.
- Good stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
- Knowledge of construction processes.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Professional qualification such as MCICES or MRICS.
