Position Overview
The Finance Manager will oversee daily financial operations and management accounting for our UK division, reporting directly to the UK Financial Controller. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver precise and timely monthly financial reports for the UK sector. You will provide insightful analysis and interpretation to enhance business value, ensuring that tasks are completed within deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in implementing internal controls and governance while sharing your expertise in financial best practices with both finance and non-finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
In collaboration with the UK Financial Controller and the broader finance team, your duties will include:
- Assisting in the month-end closing process for the UK division, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Preparing variance analyses and reporting packages for UK commercial evaluations.
- Ensuring accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation each month.
- Assisting with cash flow management and treasury reporting.
- Supporting the annual audit by providing precise information to the audit team and coordinating with the business to gather necessary audit evidence.
- Collaborating with the UK finance team to standardize and enhance processes and the accounting control environment in alignment with Group standards.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Qualified or pursuing a recognized accounting qualification, preferably CIMA.
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong analytical capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage ambiguity, and maintain a relentless focus on continuous improvement, even when faced with challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships at all organizational levels.
- Dedication to producing high-quality work and meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience in an international, private-equity backed organization is advantageous.
