About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at The Marketing Practice. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring consistent and compliant accounting practices across our global group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Group Consolidation and Statutory Reporting: Manage the preparation and delivery of the group consolidated and subsidiary statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
  • External Audit Support: Support the management of the external audit process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and successful delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement new processes, controls, and initiatives to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance and provide technical guidance and recommendations for accounting treatment and areas of judgment.
  • Revenue Recognition: Support compliant accounting and documentation of revenue recognition across the business.
  • Cash Forecasting and Working Capital Management: Contribute to the group cash forecasting process and support improvements in working capital management.
  • Finance Policy and Procedure Review: Review, monitor, and recommend improvements to the group's finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Tax Environment Management: Ensure a compliant and well-planned tax environment, including R&D, Transfer Pricing, Thin Cap/CIR, Deferred Tax asset, VAT, and employment taxes.
  • Ad-hoc Tasks: Manage requirements for the annual insurance reviews and perform other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Group Finance Director.
Requirements
  • ACA Qualification: ACA qualified accountant with a top 10 firm, with at least 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Technical Experience: Strong technical experience within financial accounting and tax, within a global group business.
  • FRS102 Knowledge: Detailed working knowledge of FRS102.
  • Financial Controls and Processes: Experience in developing and implementing financial controls and processes.
  • Results-Oriented and Service Delivery Focus: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity, with a results-oriented and service delivery focus.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Continuous improvement mindset and an aptitude for change management.
  • High Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and strong interpersonal and presentational skills with the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the business.
  • Advanced Microsoft Skills: Advanced Microsoft skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
