Financial Accountant

We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Workingmums. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in preparing year-end accounting packs, statutory accounts, and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare year-end accounting packs for group companies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Utilize Iris software to prepare statutory accounts, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the first point of contact for audit information requests, providing prompt and accurate responses.
- Prepare consolidated fixed asset reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Reconcile asset suspense accounts, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, resolving reconciling items and maintaining financial integrity.
- Account for, pay, and submit returns for VAT, quarterly returns, and National Statistics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant or studying for a recognized accountancy qualification.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
