Position Overview

Full-time Commitment: 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking an Advanced Practitioner to perform x-ray guided interventional procedures and manage all facets of mammography.

The facility features three state-of-the-art GE Pristina X-Ray rooms equipped with tomosynthesis and CESM capabilities, alongside three GE ultrasound rooms.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Execute all aspects of mammography while serving as an Advanced Practitioner in the Breast Imaging Unit, conducting x-ray guided core biopsies and localizations.
  • Utilize motivational techniques to obtain informed consent, ensuring cooperation during x-ray guided procedures.
  • Adapt communication strategies to meet the varying emotional needs of patients.
  • Clearly explain the rationale for biopsy and localization procedures.
  • Perform imaging during screening, symptomatic assessments, and screening clinics.
  • Safely operate specialized x-ray equipment.
  • Play an active role in the development of departmental protocols.
  • Engage in postgraduate professional development.
  • Adhere to the Data Protection Act and maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with Trust regulations.
