Imperial London Hotels has been a prominent player in the hospitality sector in Central London for over 180 years, currently managing a collection of seven 3 & 4-star hotels in the vibrant Bloomsbury area. As an independent and family-owned entity, ILH prides itself on its rich heritage and culture, which serve as the foundation for its ongoing evolution and modernization.

The portfolio includes The Royal National Hotel, the largest hotel in the UK with over 1,600 rooms, alongside The Bedford Hotel, The President Hotel, The Tavistock Hotel, The Morton Hotel, and the newly acquired IHG Branded Holiday Inn Bloomsbury. A major refurbishment is underway for The Imperial Hotel, set to launch as ILH's flagship 4* Deluxe Hotel in the near future.

We are actively seeking Reception Supervisors to be part of our dynamic and diverse team in the heart of Bloomsbury. We value collaboration and community within the Imperial London Hotels family.

Providing an outstanding level of service to every guest is central to your role. You will be dedicated to ensuring that you and your team deliver an exceptional guest experience from check-in to check-out. Collaborating closely with your Front Office Manager and Front Office teams, you will exemplify leadership by setting a high standard for service quality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing all upcoming arrivals and managing guest check-ins/outs, including payment processing.
  • Supporting team members through conflict resolution, effective time management, and individual development.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of hotel amenities and procedures, fostering a culture of high-quality service and relationship building.
  • Providing guidance and support to new employees to ensure seamless integration into company standards.
  • Ensuring all bookings are confirmed and managing no-show and late cancellation policies appropriately.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Reception Supervisor or Front of House Supervisor in a hotel environment.
  • Personable and engaging, with excellent communication skills for interacting with both guests and internal teams.
  • A natural leader capable of motivating and developing a team to achieve their full potential.
  • Possessing a positive attitude, remaining calm under pressure, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and familiar with Reservation Systems (Opera).
