Job Summary

Utah State University is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our campus facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of campus equipment and facilities, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, using technical manuals and diagnostic tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Exceptional technical skills and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

The Maintenance Technician will work in a variety of settings, including outdoor environments and confined spaces. The position requires the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
