Job Title: Pharmacy Manager/ Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager/ Lead to join our Transformation Unit team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership to a team of pharmacy technicians, scientists, and trainees, and supporting a team of pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to a team of pharmacy technicians, scientists, and trainees, and support a team of pharmacists.
  • Deliver training to healthcare professionals across the organization and provide medicines advice to healthcare professionals and patients across multiple health boards and nationally.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver innovative strategies for advancing medicines governance practices, while maintaining a strong focus on medicines safety.

Requirements:

  • BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or NVQ level 3 in pharmacy services.
  • Registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Supervisory or management qualification.
  • Extensive and broad experience of all aspects of pharmacy practice.
  • Experience of training/assessing staff.
  • Experience of writing, developing, and implementing SOPs.
  • Previous experience in medicines advice.
  • Knowledge of hospital stock control systems.
