Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and capable Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy team and deliver a comprehensive pharmacy service within hospital settings.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide an exemplary pharmacy service, in accordance with current legislation, clinical requirements, and accepted professional and ethical standards.
  • Offer advice and support to consultants, other clinicians, and patients, ensuring the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines.
  • Lead, motivate, and effectively manage the pharmacy team by providing excellent leadership.
  • Advise on the safe management of medicines to the hospital and its departments, while staying compliant with current legislation and professional standards.
  • Lead quality improvement projects and audits within pharmacy, aiming to instill a continuous learning culture within the team.
  • Promote a patient-focused multidisciplinary approach to delivering an efficient, high-quality healthcare service.
  • Be available on call.

About the Role

This is a leadership role that requires a strong background in pharmacy management, with experience in a clinical setting and leadership/managerial experience in a pharmacy setting. The ideal candidate will have an awareness and knowledge of Oncology Pharmacy and be able to share evidence-based practices with colleagues to enhance service and standards.
