Job Description

Centre People Appointments is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join their team. As an HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining databases, handling enquiries, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, managing payroll, updating documents, and coordinating events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Maintain employee database systems, arrange meetings and appointments, and handle incoming and outgoing post.
  • Enquiry Handling: Provide initial responses to internal and external enquiries from existing staff members, managers, and candidates for vacancies.
  • Recruitment Support: Publish and edit job listings, arrange interviews, and communicate directly with candidates.
  • Onboarding Support: Lead orientation for new employees and provide information about benefits.
  • Annual Leave and Absence Reporting: Assist with processing and reporting.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Assist with payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
  • Document Production: Update employee handbooks and newsletters, and write letters and reports.
  • Recruitment Administration: Maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS), CV screening, and administration.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate interview and assessment day events.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Provide support as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • CIPD level 3 or above is desirable but not essential.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft-based applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to establish and maintain professional interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to accurately document, record, and maintain information and data.
  • Ability to work with high self-direction and flexibility, especially with respect to taking initiative, prioritizing multiple tasks, and using good judgment to resolve problems.
  • 'Can do' attitude, with a methodical approach to work and strong prioritization skills.
  • Team player.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Integrity – the role requires appropriate handling of confidential and sensitive information.
