Human Resources & Culture Director

Our client, TESLA GROUP, is a global organization dedicated to providing sustainable energy solutions through innovative energy concepts. To address the growing market needs, they are establishing a state-of-the-art production facility - Gigafactory Braila, Romania, which will be the second and largest manufacturing site of the TESLA Group.

The objective is to create a premier high-tech production entity, TESLA Energy Storage SRL, Gigafactory Braila, within the upcoming months, and we are currently seeking a seasoned and proactive Human Resources and Culture Director to become part of our team in Braila, Romania.

We are looking for an individual who excels in a collaborative setting, adopts a hands-on methodology, demonstrates a positive mindset, and is adept at managing intricate tasks while coordinating efforts with various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be tasked with formulating and executing human resources and culture strategies that are in harmony with the overarching business objectives. This position emphasizes the cultivation of a constructive workplace environment, boosting employee engagement, and ensuring adherence to employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business objectives;
  • Evaluate current and future human resources requirements, ensuring the attraction and retention of a high-caliber workforce;
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to comprehend and implement the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly concerning current and future talent requirements, recruitment, retention, and succession planning;
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that enhances employee engagement and satisfaction;
  • Design and implement programs and initiatives aimed at improving employee morale and engagement, including recognition schemes, team-building exercises, and communication strategies;
  • Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to assess employee satisfaction and pinpoint areas for enhancement;
  • Oversee the recruitment process, encompassing job advertisements, interviews, and candidate selection;
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure seamless integration of new employees into the organization;
  • Establish and manage performance management systems and processes to guarantee that employees receive consistent feedback and support;
  • Administer the annual performance review process, including goal setting, feedback, and evaluations;
  • Identify training needs and create and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career progression;
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations;
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that foster a fair and equitable workplace;
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions;
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive and aligned with organizational goals;
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and additional perks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline;
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in human resources management, preferably within a manufacturing or high-tech environment;
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations in Romania, with knowledge of other countries being advantageous;
  • Demonstrated experience in employee engagement and culture development;
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly SAP/Success Factor is a plus;
  • Fluency in English and Romanian, both written and spoken;
  • Knowledge of additional languages is a benefit.
