We have developed a pioneering Nursing Assistant Trainee position, the first of its kind, featuring an innovative development program designed to equip Senior Care Assistants with the necessary skills and responsibilities to transition into Nursing Assistants. This role will involve supporting clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, catheter management, and other direct patient care activities under the supervision of qualified nursing staff.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will also receive a salary increase.

Qualifications Required:

  1. Level 3 Diploma S/NVQ in Health and Social Care (or currently pursuing)
  2. A minimum of 2 years' experience in Health & Social Care, ideally in a Senior Carer role or similar, with leadership responsibilities, particularly in medication administration and shift management.
  3. Understanding of person-centered care planning and relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks.

Safeguarding is a collective responsibility, and it is crucial to recognize signs of potential abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take if concerns arise. All staff members are required to participate in safeguarding training relevant to their roles and pursue additional training in related areas. You will also be empowered to seek guidance and report concerns, including escalation if necessary.
