Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse Specialist to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work with children and young people who are diagnosed with eating disorders and will support running an Intensive Day Programme to help CYP remain at home in the community.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work within a nursing team caring for young people with eating disorders.
  • Assist with efficient and effective nursing care.
  • Lead the nursing team, support decision-making, and show accountability for junior members of the team.
  • Ensure safe evidence-based clinical practice and demonstrate clinical expertise, with delegated responsibility for the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Risk assess alongside the use of MEED guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
