Exciting Opportunity: Senior Practitioner Position at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust

We are seeking a qualified professional in the mental health field to fill the role of senior practitioner at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. If you are a mental health nurse, psychologist, social worker, psychotherapist, or family therapist, we welcome your application for this position.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing evidence-based treatments, and supervising staff. You will work with children and young people with mental health needs, including those with neurodevelopmental issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people with mental health needs
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to address mental health issues
  • Supervise and support staff to ensure high-quality care and services
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in mental health to inform treatment approaches

Requirements:

  • Qualification in a Core profession (Social Worker, Mental Health Nursing, Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology)
  • Full registration with the appropriate professional body
  • Experience working with children and young people with mental health presentations
  • Experience in providing evidence-based mental health interventions
  • Experience in supervising staff
  • Ability to travel across the region

Desirable Skills:

  • Multi-Agency working experience
  • Assessment, formulation, risk management, and safety planning
  • Evidence-based treatments including DBT, CBT, Trauma-informed
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (Children's Act, Mental Health Act, mental capacity)
