Senior Director, Integrated Marketing

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director of Integrated Marketing to leverage their expertise in marketing strategy and execution within a dynamic, publicly traded organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong history of developing and implementing multi-channel marketing initiatives while effectively collaborating with key stakeholders across various solutions and products to achieve revenue objectives. A profound understanding of market dynamics and customer behavior will be essential to influence product roadmaps and spearhead go-to-market strategies for successful launches.

The Senior Director will be responsible for defining target demographics, marketing approaches, and product positioning strategies for the Claims and Underwriting divisions, initially focusing on the UK market. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a team of distinguished professionals while enhancing your knowledge and skills through a diverse range of projects. Additionally, you will utilize your communication skills to convey the value of Verisk solutions to essential audiences through collaboration and relationship-building with colleagues and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market & Competitive Analysis – Assess customer, market, and competitive intelligence requirements and initiate research with key stakeholders. Utilize insights to drive marketing and product strategies.
  • Customer Journey Mapping – Employ compelling customer insights from research and external data to develop target personas, understand buyer needs, and navigate the purchasing decision process for products or solutions.
  • Product Strategy Development – Identify market/customer needs and articulate market opportunities for new features and solutions through a comprehensive understanding of audience and market dynamics as well as business unit objectives.
  • Marketing Strategy Formulation – Create multi-channel marketing campaigns informed by client insights and audience profiles to meet business goals. Lead the go-to-market strategy and planning for new feature and solution launches.
  • Messaging & Positioning – Craft product positioning and messaging that distinctly differentiates our solutions in the marketplace.
  • Sales Enablement – Develop or solicit authoritative reports to educate the market on critical issues. Collaborate with Sales leadership to identify necessary marketing support to enhance sales pipeline opportunities.
  • Campaign Strategy Development – Formulate strategies and clearly communicate business priorities to launch innovative, integrated, and multimedia campaigns, including email marketing, digital content, web landing pages, online advertising, podcasts, video, social media, etc.
  • Marketing Analytics – Provide actionable marketing analytics with insights and recommendations to business unit leadership to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Thought Leadership – Act as an internal and market-facing subject matter expert for the product/solution category and target audience to guide business decisions.
  • Team Development – Identify essential marketing needs to enhance business unit performance and mentor direct reports to consistently exhibit core strategic marketing competencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in strategic marketing and/or marketing/product management, preferably in B2B marketing and the insurance sector.
  • Proven success in developing marketing strategies and achieving key stakeholder alignment across multiple channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage customer, market, and competitive insights to inform marketing and product strategy decisions.
  • Strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape, including marketing automation, demand generation, personalization, sales enablement, attribution reporting, and campaign management.
  • Proficient in utilizing customer and market insights to inform product and marketing strategy decisions.
  • Successful track record in building and nurturing high-performing marketing teams.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration with teams and stakeholders at various seniority levels.
  • Ability to secure executive-level alignment on key strategies to drive business outcomes.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented, with a focus on measuring and evaluating metrics for pre- and post-product/campaign launches.
  • Capability to swiftly prioritize and adapt to changing business needs and external market conditions.
  • Knowledge of European languages, particularly German, is considered an advantage.
