About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to support and oversee the progress of our apprentices who are working towards their Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English with an external provider. As our Functional Skills Coach/Trainer, you will ensure their learning is on track to achieve their qualifications in a timely manner.

About the Job

This role involves managing the learning progress of our apprentices, providing tuition in basic skills to staff within the organisation, and managing your own time to meet the demands of the role. You will be required to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal staff and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Functional Skills training to adults in the workplace
  • Manage the learning progress of apprentices
  • Provide tuition in basic skills to staff within the organisation
  • Work with internal staff and external agencies to achieve common goals

Requirements

  • Previous experience of delivering Functional Skills to adults in the workplace
  • Excellent subject knowledge in Maths and English
  • Knowledge of the apprenticeship requirements
  • Teaching qualification (e.g. Cert ED, QTS, Qualification in Education and Training Level 4)
  • Maths and English qualifications at Level 2 (Level 3 desirable)
