This is a hybrid position, requiring the successful candidate to be present onsite for training for a duration of up to 12 weeks. Following this period, a minimum of one day per week in the office is expected, with bi-weekly attendance at the Bristol office as agreed upon after the probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

What does a Patient Care Consultant do?

In the role of Patient Care Consultant, you will gather pertinent medical histories from patients, general practitioners, and hospitals, ensuring compliance with consent and Pre-Existing Conditions guidelines. You will manage clinical referrals for patients considering Termination of Pregnancy and Vasectomy procedures, working closely with internal teams. Additionally, you will inform patients with contraindications about alternative options and coordinate necessary appointments or referrals.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining and updating patient records, reporting daily progress, and escalating any service level issues to the Team Manager. Efficiently triaging cases with health or safeguarding complexities is crucial, as is providing support to the team with telephone consultations or administrative tasks as required. Regularly reporting patient referral outcomes to the Operational Management Team will also be part of your duties.

Previous experience in healthcare is not a requirement for this position.
