About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Sirona care & health CIC. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist registered nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering individualized care plans that prioritize patient dignity and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to prevent harm and promote patient safety.
  • Support patients with their care and nutritional needs, ensuring accurate and timely recording of physiological observations.
  • Contribute to the prevention of harm by participating in risk assessments, such as nutrition, pressure area care, continence, and falls.
  • Assist patients with mobilization, using equipment and techniques prescribed and recorded in their care plan.
  • Promote a culture of ambulatory care by supporting patients to be as independent as possible with washing, dressing, and encouraging mobility from admission.
  • Support patient-centered rehabilitation to facilitate safe and timely discharges, reflecting individual choice and maximizing independence.
Requirements
  • Level 2/3 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Adults) or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience of providing care in a formal healthcare or social setting.
  • Able to work under pressure and high demand.
  • Committed to providing high-quality, safe, and effective patient care.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of service users with a range of communication needs and/or cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience in supporting service users with a range of physical needs, different manual handling techniques, and a variety of transfer equipment.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively and efficiently individually and in a team environment.
