Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team at University Hospital Ayr. As a registered nurse with current NMC registration, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered care to patients, responding to their needs and preferences.
- Work effectively with the healthcare team to maintain a safe and effective care environment.
- Develop and maintain strong communication skills to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant policies, procedures, and best practices in nursing care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Registered General nurse (RGN Level 1) with a current NMC registration.
- Working knowledge of General Hospitals Division policies and procedures.
- Ability to keep relevant skills/knowledge updated and documented.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to lifelong learning and demonstrates evidence of continuing professional development.
Working Arrangements
This role involves working a shift pattern of days and nights rotation over 7 days, with a total of 34.1 hours per week. We are committed to implementing the 37-hour working week across all areas as soon as it is safe to do so.
