Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our outpatient team at University Hospital Ayr. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working in outpatients, particularly within orthopaedics and gynaecology. Plaster room experience and knowledge of gynaecology procedures are highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care in the delivery of outpatient services within Ayr Hospital as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Work collaboratively in a safe, caring, and respectful environment.
  • Supervise and provide mentorship to students and junior staff.
  • Develop and maintain relevant skills and knowledge, documenting updates as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively through written and verbal means.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Working knowledge of General Hospitals Division policies and procedures.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and evidence of continuing professional development.

Working Hours

26 hours per week.
