About the Role

The Compliance Operational Lead is the first line of defence to ensure that Tower Hamlets Community Housing complies with its statutory obligations regarding housing compliance. The purpose of the role is to ensure that the organization obtains optimal performance from its contractors, explores innovative ways to improve assurance, and builds relationships with other teams within the organization to promote compliance and safety.

This role involves reporting on compliance figures on a regular basis, ensuring remediation work is raised and followed through to completion, and managing expenditure in line with the annual budget. The role also allows for a varied workload, including conducting contractor meetings, raising orders, reporting on compliance figures and work in progress, conducting internal meetings, and managing remediation works.

About You

You will be a versatile and solution-focused individual who is open to following a project through to completion and optimization. You will also be process-driven and a team player who can work independently and challenge the status quo. You will have experience and knowledge within housing compliance, including but not limited to, Fire, Gas, Water, Asbestos, Electric, and Lifts. Management experience of contractors is desirable but not essential, as well as a requirement to be good at creating relationships with stakeholders.
