Associate Head of Fundraising

As we enter a dynamic phase of expansion in our Philanthropy revenue streams, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Philanthropy (Trusts and Foundations).
Role Overview
In the capacity of Assistant Director of Philanthropy (Trusts and Foundations), your responsibilities will include:
- Inspiring and guiding the Trusts and Foundations team to achieve ambitious fundraising goals, while managing a select personal portfolio of high-value prospects.
- Adopting a relationship-focused approach to Trusts and Foundations fundraising, fostering strong connections with trustees.
- Crafting and executing a fresh strategy to enhance statutory and institutional fundraising efforts at Dogs Trust, collaborating with key internal partners to create compelling propositions.
- Formulating international strategies to increase funding for our global initiatives from various international animal welfare and health organizations.
- Partnering with stakeholders across the organization to develop new cases for support and tailored funding opportunities.
- Collaborating with fellow Deputy Heads within the Philanthropy team, cultivating a robust peer network that tackles challenges collectively.
Candidate Profile
To excel in this position, you should be a proficient leader capable of mentoring and supporting the Trusts and Foundations teams while addressing challenges with a practical mindset. We are looking for an individual with experience in engaging with international and global trusts, as we broaden our fundraising initiatives in this domain. Exceptional communication skills are vital, enabling you to influence and establish relationships with key external partners. Experience in strategy formulation and execution is also essential for this role. Above all, a dedication to the mission and objectives of Dogs Trust is paramount.
