We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Lead Clinical Nurse Manager to become part of our Primary Care division within a secure healthcare environment.

This role is set within a male remand facility, catering to a significant number of individuals in need of healthcare services.

Work Schedule

Full-time hours, Monday through Friday

Compensation

This is a full-time position with an annual salary reaching up to £56,000, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Clinical Nurse Manager, your duties will encompass:

  • Providing clinical leadership and oversight to nursing staff and care teams.
  • Acting in the capacity of Deputy/Head of Healthcare as needed.
  • Ensuring that your clinical practice aligns with the standards of autonomous practice.
  • Mentoring and developing clinical staff, participating in audits, and contributing to the creation and evaluation of clinical and operational protocols.
  • Leading and facilitating healthcare meetings with various stakeholders, providing clinical supervision (training provided), and conducting local investigations.
  • Delivering educational workshops aimed at enhancing team competencies in clinical processes, documentation, patient care, and collaborative practices with healthcare and correctional services.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (Adult).
  • Current professional registration (NMC).
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Familiarity with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency collaboration.
  • A compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Previous line management experience and mentorship of student nurses.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP, and national standards.
