Lead Nurse for Adolescent Care
Position Overview
As a Lead Nurse for Adolescent Care, you will assume a pivotal leadership position in providing outstanding healthcare services to our youth, while also guiding and mentoring less experienced nursing personnel. You will serve as a role model, oversee shift operations, and coordinate nursing responsibilities within your team.
The ideal candidate will be a driven and proactive nursing professional, preferably with experience in pediatric care or mental health, and will possess strong leadership and communication abilities.
We encourage applications from individuals who may not have direct experience in inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) but can demonstrate substantial experience in other relevant areas of mental health or pediatrics.
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is currently undergoing significant renovations, which will lead to the establishment of two new services. The first to launch is an innovative Eating Disorder Day service, followed closely by a 10-bed General Adolescent Unit. Both services provide staff with a flexible and diverse working environment, along with numerous professional development opportunities.
We are proud to be part of a network of three CAMHS facilities that foster a strong culture of collaboration, learning from experiences, and sharing innovative practices.
Key Responsibilities
