Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Trading Underwriter to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching less experienced colleagues in writing and winning more complex, higher value business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expert knowledge of Insurance and Commercial underwriting, with a focus on property & liability.
  • Excellent communication, listening, time management, and negotiating skills.
  • Analysis of risks and ability to communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers.
  • Familiar with applying underwriting knowledge to effectively improve processes/procedures, while being responsible for own underwriting caseloads within a regulatory environment.
  • Excellent business development/customer engagement skills to influence key contacts in the marketplace.
