Healthcare Central London Ltd (HCL) is a GP Federation comprising 33 General Practices in the Central London area. We support 4 Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and manage several NHS contracts, including specialized community services.

As the host employer for a growing team of healthcare professionals under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS), we include roles such as Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists, and Care Coordinators.

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Salaried General Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team due to service expansion. The GP will be instrumental in delivering high-quality primary care services and collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance patient well-being.

This role offers flexibility, including both in-person and remote working options.

The GP will integrate into the clinical team, providing essential appointments and managing patient care with a focus on continuity and case management. Responsibilities will evolve in line with NHS GP Contracts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of our clinical team, you will:

  • Ensure clinical continuity for patients in critical situations.
  • Engage in learning events, audits, and collaborative projects.
  • Adhere to established clinical practices and prescribing guidelines.
  • Continuously seek to improve practice systems and learn new IT tools.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and respect multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Stay informed about new clinical guidelines and manage time effectively.

SESSION STRUCTURE

Sessions consist of clinical appointments, digital triage, and remote administrative tasks, with a minimum appointment duration of 15 minutes. Flexibility in session timing is available, and regular clinical meetings are held to promote teamwork and professional development.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain awareness of and comply with relevant practice policies, contribute to clinical audits, and participate in training opportunities.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

  • Essential: Experience in UK General Practice and working with vulnerable populations.
  • Desirable: 2+ years of clinical experience and familiarity with EMIS Web and clinical triage.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: GMC Registered, MRCGP or equivalent, and on a CCG performers list.
  • Desirable: Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Skills:

  • Essential: Strong IT skills, remote consulting abilities, and excellent communication.
  • Desirable: Leadership skills and adaptability to new IT systems.
