Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at The Children's Society. As a key member of our shop management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Shop Manager in driving sales and profits, and working closely with staff and volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Shop Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop, including managing stock, processing sales, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Lead and motivate a team of staff and volunteers to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profits, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure effective communication and collaboration between team members.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of shop policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong track record of driving sales and profits.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
