About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at The Children's Society. As a key member of our shop management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Shop Manager in driving sales and profits, while providing exceptional customer service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Shop Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the shop, including staff supervision and customer service.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work closely with the Shop Manager to achieve sales targets and improve shop performance.
  • Assist with the recruitment, training, and development of shop staff.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a retail or customer-facing role, with a strong track record of sales and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to improve shop performance.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies.
