Assistant Shop Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at The Children's Society's Exmouth Shop. As a key member of our shop team, you will play a vital role in driving sales and profits, while providing exceptional customer service and supporting the Shop Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Shop Manager in achieving sales and profit targets
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers
  • Support the Shop Manager in managing the shop's operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, and cash handling
  • Lead and motivate the shop team to achieve their best performance
  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to drive sales and increase customer engagement
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of retail operations and sales techniques
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
