About the Role

The Asset Planning Lead will be responsible for leading our paraplanning team and providing leadership, mentorship, and technical support. This role requires a strong team leader who can ensure adequate training is provided where required and maintain output to a high standard and within agreed timescales.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Acting as team leader and people manager within our paraplanning team
  2. Providing leadership, mentorship, and technical support
  3. Ensuring adequate training is provided where required
  4. Maintaining output to a high standard and within agreed timescales
  5. Providing support to our firm's advisers in completing non-client facing tasks in relation to the preparation and administration of recommendations being made
  6. Liaising with advisers as appropriate
  7. Dealing with client queries in an efficient and timely manner
  8. Making sure any updates and reports are issued to clients in a timely manner
  9. Reviewing client investment portfolios, asset allocations, risk profiles, etc. Preparing suitability reports, completing applications/proposal forms

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in financial planning and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII) or equivalent and good written/oral communication skills.

  2. Having a positive attitude at all times
  3. Good written/oral communication skills
  4. The ability to take on and understand the environment we operate in, and the issues this raises
  5. General IT skills
  6. Ability to compile reports

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  1. Be working towards or have achieved chartered status
  2. Have experience of managing a small team
  3. Have practical experience with cashflow forecasting (ideally Voyant)
  4. Be a competent user of Microsoft Office
