Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of childcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care.
- Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to develop and implement strategies for succession planning, training, and professional development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the needs of each child are met.
- Contribute to the commercial success of the nursery by managing expenditure, FTEs, and budget KPIs.
- Engage with the Local Authority to understand the local offer and support practice in all areas of the nursery.
- Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
- Experience in an Early Years leadership role, ideally as a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or Third in Charge.
- Experience of participating in regulatory inspections, leading to a "Good" or "Outstanding" outcome.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements for working with children.
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.
