Job Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a full-time Assistant Psychologist to join the Community CAMHS Eating Disorder Service based at The Lookout, Hopewood.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the clinical psychology provision to undertake assessment, consultation, and intervention with Children, Young People, and Families under the supervision of the Clinical Psychologist.
  • Work as part of the Community CAMHS Eating Disorder multi-disciplinary team to support and carry out a range of psychometric and other assessments with people who have an eating disorder or other mental health difficulties.
  • Support and carry out defined therapeutic interventions with young people with an eating disorder or other mental health difficulties.
  • Support interventions with staff teams, such as consultancy, training, identifying resources, multi-disciplinary working, signposting staff to appropriate services, and service promotion.
  • Support data collection and analysis, for both clinical and service evaluation, as required.
Requirements
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Ability to work for long periods on a computer.
  • An approved qualification in psychology conferring eligibility for graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological Society.
  • Postgraduate training in an area relevant to child and adolescent mental health or eating disorders.
  • Experience of undertaking research, as part of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of colleagues and stakeholders both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to prepare detailed and timely reports in conjunction with the project team.
  • Analyse and interpret complex information, such as research or clinical data.
  • Ability to develop and maintain databases.
  • A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post, however, reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
