Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health conditions and a proven track record of providing effective support to individuals facing challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to patients with a range of mental health conditions, including schizophrenia and autism.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and provide individual counseling.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders and available resources.
  • Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills
  • Track record in Mental Health Support
  • Experience in working with diagnosis of Schizophrenia
  • Understanding of Psychosis
  • Significant knowledge of autism
  • Experience of working with individuals who present with challenging behaviours
  • Highly competent in medication management
  • Live-in care experienced.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a multi-professional Team
  • CAMHS experience
  • Providing consistency in a role
  • Building trust and working collaboratively with a patient

Desirable Qualifications

  • Post basic qualifications in health care
  • Degree level post basic qualifications in health care
  • Current, Clean, Full car driving Licence
  • Delivering health care services to people with mental health problems across a variety of settings, including acute psychiatric inpatient services, community.
