Mental Health Support SpecialistWe are seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health conditions and a proven track record of providing effective support to individuals facing challenges.
Responsibilities- Provide direct support to patients with a range of mental health conditions, including schizophrenia and autism.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and provide individual counseling.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders and available resources.
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Essential Qualifications
- Basic computer skills
- Track record in Mental Health Support
- Experience in working with diagnosis of Schizophrenia
- Understanding of Psychosis
- Significant knowledge of autism
- Experience of working with individuals who present with challenging behaviours
- Highly competent in medication management
- Live-in care experienced.
- Working collaboratively as part of a multi-professional Team
- CAMHS experience
- Providing consistency in a role
- Building trust and working collaboratively with a patient
Desirable Qualifications
- Post basic qualifications in health care
- Degree level post basic qualifications in health care
- Current, Clean, Full car driving Licence
- Delivering health care services to people with mental health problems across a variety of settings, including acute psychiatric inpatient services, community.

- Understanding of health care delivery within the NHS / Independent sector
- A working knowledge and understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 and its possible impact on services provided
- A good understanding of the Health and Social Care Act and its implications for the organisation
