We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Look Ahead Care Support and Housing. As a Specialist Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 18-25 who are experiencing mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build trusting relationships with young people and create a positive atmosphere
- Conduct holistic assessments and develop support plans to achieve individual goals
- Provide information, social inclusion, and vocational opportunities to support recovery and empowerment
- Work collaboratively with external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support
- Develop productive relationships with partner organizations to improve service outcomes
Requirements:
- Up to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in a relevant field
- Specialist knowledge relevant to supporting young people with mental health diagnoses
- Experience of working in a complex mental health environment (desirable)
- Demonstrable experience of trauma-informed practice (desirable)
