About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Counsellor to join our team at Nuffield Health, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. As an Integrative Counsellor, you will work with individuals who have common mental health problems, utilizing a step-care approach to therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat individuals with common mental health problems, promoting self-management of their recovery.
  • Conduct patient-centered consultations to identify areas for change and recovery, and make accurate assessments of risk to self and others.
  • Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to Nuffield Health's referral protocols, and refer clients to relevant support agencies or GPs when necessary.
  • Maintain high standards of practice, adhering to Nuffield Health's policies and regulations, and stay up-to-date on new recommendations and guidelines from the Department of Health.
  • Ensure confidentiality is protected at all times, adhering to Nuffield Health's information governance policy.
  • Stay current with advances in treatment for common mental health problems.
  • Keep accurate records of continued professional development and maintain specialist knowledge of latest theoretical and service delivery models.
Requirements
  • Full Accreditation with the BACP or UKCP, Accredited Professional Status with the NCPS, or Accredited Membership with COSCA.
  • Minimum of two years' post-degree experience in counselling.
  • NICE-approved Counselling for Depression training (ideally).
