EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN | £13.05 per hour
If you are a certified First Aider with a sincere passion for assisting individuals in distress and utilizing your expertise to create a significant impact, this position is tailored for you.
Working from the First Aid & Occupational Health Centre, in collaboration with a team of Occupational Health Nurses, your primary responsibilities will include assessing and, when necessary, treating guests and staff who seek assistance at the First Aid Centre or have received preliminary aid from a Center Parcs First Aider. You will also respond to on-site first aid or emergency situations, focusing on evaluation, stabilization, and initial care before directing or referring individuals to appropriate NHS services based on the severity of their condition.
Additional duties encompass documenting all incidents and actions taken, ensuring adherence to company policies and GDPR regulations, and conducting welfare follow-ups after incidents, recording any subsequent treatment needs and outcomes.
Given the sensitive nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) check, including Child & Adult List Barring Check. This disclosure, along with other selection criteria, must meet the Company's standards for employment to commence.
WORKING HOURS
You will be contracted to work 75 hours over a 4-week period on a flexible schedule. This means your working days and hours may vary weekly, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Your shifts will be scheduled between 9am and 9pm.
As our village operates year-round, your working hours will include weekends, public holidays, and holiday periods on a rotational basis.
ABOUT YOU
In addition to your First Aid at Work certification, including AED, or substantial experience in first aid, you will possess excellent communication skills, thrive under pressure, and maintain a composed demeanor with the ability to assess situations and respond promptly.
Essential qualifications:
First Aid certification, with AED or extensive experience in delivering First Aid BLS for Adults and Pediatrics or willingness to undergo training Qualification in Oxygen administration or willingness to undertake training Strong verbal and written communication abilities Valid UK driving license Capability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and make decisions calmly and thoughtfully Proficient knowledge of Microsoft and other computer systems Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamABOUT THE BENEFITS
