Position Overview

We are excited to announce opportunities for Community Emergency Volunteers to join our dedicated teams across various regions.

We encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds to apply, particularly those residing in specific areas.

Key Locations of Interest:

Areas of focus include: Devizes, Warminster, Marlborough, Calne, Salisbury, Radstock, Pewsey, Malmesbury, Melksham, Highworth, Trowbridge, Tidworth, Ludgershall, Amesbury, and surrounding regions.

As a Community Emergency Volunteer (CEV), you will be part of a network of trained individuals who respond to emergency situations in your local area on behalf of our organization. Your role will involve providing essential patient care, including basic life support, until professional medical assistance arrives. Candidates should possess a well-rounded education, a valid driving license with a clean record, and access to a properly insured vehicle. Following the selection process, candidates will be invited for an interview where knowledge of the role and our organization will be assessed. Successful candidates will be required to complete a designated training program to fulfill the recruitment criteria.

Primary Responsibilities

As a volunteer within the Community Emergency Volunteer program, you will offer your services selflessly and without compensation. This role is immensely fulfilling and provides opportunities to connect with others while acquiring vital lifesaving skills through our comprehensive training.

It is crucial to articulate what makes you an outstanding Community Emergency Volunteer and how you align with the qualifications for this position. Please note that if there is no active Community Emergency Volunteer program within a specified distance from your residence, you may not be considered for selection. If you wish to volunteer from your workplace, please indicate this in your application.

Training Details

Training will take place at a designated location over several sessions.

If you are unable to attend all training sessions, we kindly ask that you refrain from applying for this intake. Future training opportunities may be available, and interested individuals are encouraged to express their interest for subsequent sessions.

Role Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid driving license with a clean record.
  • Access to a vehicle that meets legal requirements.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Advanced driving certification.
  • Current First Aid certification.

Relevant Experience:

  • Previous experience in a relevant role (paid or unpaid).

Desirable:

  • Additional experience in a related capacity.
